About Forklift Agency in London
Family-owned, established 2007, and one of the largest on-site forklift training providers in the UK. Our very first job was in London, and we have been training here ever since.
Forklift Agency has been training forklift operators at their own workplaces since 2007. We are a family-owned company based in Belper, Derbyshire, and although we now train across the whole country we have kept the way of working that got us here: a fixed price, an instructor who turns up when promised, and paperwork that is right first time. London was where it started, with our very first booking, and more than 3,000 courses later it is still where our instructors spend most of their time.
Why on-site, and only on-site
We do not run a training centre, in London or anywhere else. We think operators learn better on the truck they will actually drive, in the aisles and yards they will actually work in, with the real pallets, racking and pedestrians that make up their day. In London it also means no travel across the city, no lost shifts and no minimum numbers: one person in a railway arch in Bermondsey gets the same service as twelve at a distribution centre in Thurrock.
Our instructors
Every instructor working under the Forklift Agency name has been vetted by us, holds a current RTITB, AITT or ITSSAR instructor registration and carries their own public liability insurance. Most have been with us for many years and live and work across London and the South East, so they know the sites, the shift patterns and the traffic. They train to the accredited-body syllabus and to current HSE guidance, and they keep your supervisors informed of how each candidate is getting on, so there are no surprises on test day.
Shift workers? No problem
London does not stop at five o'clock and neither do we. Early mornings before the roads fill up, nights at the distribution centres and markets, and weekends at sites that cannot stop during the week are all available at the same price, subject to availability, so training fits around your operation rather than the other way round.
Airports, ports and secure sites
We regularly train at Heathrow and Gatwick cargo estates, at Tilbury and London Gateway, on construction sites, in hospitals and at other secure premises. Our instructors carry identification, complete your induction and work within your permit and security arrangements.
Part of a national provider
Forklift Training London is the local site of Forklift Agency Ltd, which trains across the UK, and sister to Forklift Training Derby, Forklift Training Nottingham and Forklift Training Leicester. Forklift Agency merged with AAJ Training, bringing together two long-established instructor teams under one name.
