Forklift training in Central London
On-site forklift training in the City, Westminster, Camden, Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Hammersmith, Kensington, Lewisham and Greenwich. On-site, on your own trucks, with no travel charge.
Inner London has fewer big sheds than the outer boroughs but far more businesses that move pallets in buildings never designed for it: railway arches, Victorian warehouses, basements, loading docks under office towers, hotel and hospital stores, theatre scenery docks and the wholesale markets at Smithfield, Billingsgate, New Covent Garden and Nine Elms. Pedestrian stackers and powered pallet trucks are the most common trucks here, with compact counterbalance trucks at the merchants, markets and riverside industrial estates of Charlton, Deptford, the Old Kent Road and Park Royal's inner fringe, and telehandlers on the construction sites that never stop. Our instructors are used to tight yards, early starts before the streets fill up, and training around a live operation.
Local customers typically work in wholesale markets, hospitality and venues, retail back-of-house, facilities management, construction and fit-out, builders' merchants, food and drink production. Whatever the sector, the format is the same: an accredited Forklift Agency instructor comes to your premises anywhere in Central and inner London, trains your operators on your own trucks, tests them, and we post HSE-recognised certificates. Courses run around your shift pattern, early mornings, nights or weekends, at the same price.

Common questions
Where does the training happen?
At your premises, on your trucks, in the environment your operators actually work in. We do not run a training centre in London or anywhere else. The instructor brings everything else: the safety videos on a laptop or tablet, theory material, cones, test papers and the certificates.
Is there a travel charge for London or the Home Counties?
No. Training anywhere inside the M25 and across the surrounding counties, from Reading to Southend and from Stevenage to Crawley, is quoted at the same rate, with no charge for travel or accommodation. Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire are covered by our Derby, Nottingham and Leicester sites, and the rest of the UK by Forklift Agency.
Do you charge more for nights or weekends?
No. Our instructors fit into your shift pattern, including early mornings, nights and weekends, at no extra cost, subject to availability. In London that often means starting before the roads fill up or training after the last delivery.
Does the instructor need parking?
One space for a car or small van, close enough to unload cones and equipment. If parking is impossible at your site, tell us when you book and we will plan around it.
